Te Hopai is looking for a motivated, stock manager to complement this well-maintained property. A stunning 910-hectare mixed farming operation based in South Wairarapa.  Consisting of two complementing blocks and systems, 330 ha of flats operated intensively situated on Te Hopai Road and 451 ha of medium hill country on Blue Rock and Dry River road.

The business specialising in beef and lamb finishing with the addition of some beef breeding.

The Stock Managers position will involve managing the day to day operations of the properties. You will require a good understanding and knowledge of intensive grazing systems with a strong focus and high standard of stock and pasture management to continue the performance our Stock Manager of 14-months has achieved. 

You will also need to clearly demonstrate an understanding of the seasonal feed and animal health requirements for all relevant classes of livestock, with the skills to meet target weights for the stock range.

There is a need for excellent communication skills in liaising with the farm owner and the ability to take on a leadership role in supporting and delegating work to others.

Understanding the Farmax and FarmIQ programs would be beneficial, training can be provided however you must already have attention to all detail and excellent record keeping skills.

Having a respect for the environment and the inherit ability to understanding the importance to make things better will be an advantage. A good remuneration package along with a good family home will be on offer.
