BakerAg is an innovative Agricultural Consultancy company that inspires clients to succeed, with a thirty-year history of providing services to the Sheep & Beef industry throughout New Zealand.

We are seeking an Analyst to connect with our Clients and Consulting team, to support on-farm performance by researching, managing, and providing analysis and reporting. 

Typical day:

  • Working with clients to develop an understanding of their business,
  • Prepare and assist the Consultants in planning and reporting on-farm visits and for discussions groups,
  • Collect, reconcile and input key farm production and performance data,
  • Verify, analyse, review and address discrepancies in data,
  • Assist in preparing client reports,
  • Interpret benchmarking data between farms and farm types,
  • Analyse Clients’ actual results against budget forecasts,
  • Liaise with Clients to ensure that budget forecasts are accurate,
  • Follow industry opinions and trends for reporting to Clients,
  • Assist Clients and Consultants with queries,
  • Prepare annual reports on the financial benchmarking database,
  • Provide articles for industry publications,

We are looking for that unique person with the skills to manage large sets of data and navigate multiple systems whilst having the soft skills to work with a large team of rural consultants and business owners.

Your talents will include:

  • Practical agriculture experience, preferably on-farm and with an agriculture-focused education to university levels,
  • Understanding of farm financing and financial statements,
  • People centric,
  • Apply analytical thinking toward problem solving,
  • Statistical calculations and discussion,
  • Managing several simultaneous tasks,
